MONSOON SEASON

I have become acutely aware of sensory occurrences in the natural environment. This summer I spent a month in New Mexico, and observed the routine and tumultuous weather patterns of monsoon season.
The formal characteristics of the drawings in Monsoon Season reference the rapidly changing skies of the Southwest. Bright, blue skies in the morning are typically interrupted by a small cumulus cloud in the early afternoon. Finally, the small cloud becomes a dark, ominous thunderhead forcing one to find shelter.
