DEBRIS
The Debris series are part of an effort to understand my place within landscape by re-contextualizing a dramatic force of nature into a safe, visual experience. The drawings are based on debris from a natural occurrence and presented as the object and the subject. The debris that I have collected is evidence of not only rapid events such as a lighting strike or microburst, but also lingering natural forces like drought.
